Rainbow Family - Update 1.0, A New Beginning
Aug. 10th, 2015 02:08 amOk soooo... I decided to start over with a brand new family. Maybe I'll actually update things, this time.
This time I decided it might be interesting to start with a faerie, since I tend to get so attached to my progenitor sims. I also decided to start with a guy.
Meet Red Rainbow--such an original name, I know, but I didn't want to waste a whole lot of time trying to be clever.

Sorry the picture is so dark, but it's one of the best shots I've got of his glorious swirly wings.
I've stuck him in Moonlight Falls, since that seems like a slightly more interesting place--magic-wise--than Sunset Valley and I've never really started anywhere else. Also, bars.
Speaking of... that was one of the first places he wanted to visit after I got him settled in a little.

He immediately started making friends.
In this game I'm honestly not worried about cheating, since I enjoy building houses and whatnot.

In other words, I built him a pretty nice house, mostly using blueprints from the building section.

Well, he seems pretty happy with it, anyway.

He also wanted a faerie house and a beehive right away.

Beekeeping garb is so very fetching, wouldn't you agree?
Anyway, I did get him a job right away, since he's a Workaholic and I didn't want him to be unhappy. But I don't want him to be friendless and I would kind of like to commence with the family-having asap, so I had him throw a party for the few people he kind of knows so far.

'So... what are your thoughts on handcuffs? Yes, no, maybe...?'
She actually seemed to like him, even with that awkward-ish conversation. Unfortunately, she's a vampire and I'm trying very hard to get him a human woman as a wife... but if I can't, she's certainly an option.

This lady is human, though! Her name is Linda Rodgers.

I love how Red is already talking about marriage to her. Though she does seem to like him, so maybe he's not totally out of line. Sadly, I didn't get very far with her before she had to go, and she turned down Red's next attempt to ask for a date. Hopefully she'll come to my next party...

This man, however, will not be invited back. I don't know what his problem was, but he was being super rude about my house, apparently.

He also wouldn't stop throwing himself parties in his faerie castle, and I very quickly got tired of it happening all the dang time so I ended up deleting it. I'll give him it again once he gets some more faerie friends and he has a real reason to throw parties in the thing. I also deleted the beehive, since the buzzing was getting to me and he kept on getting stung when he tried to collect honey and feed them. I'll give him a fishtank later; they won't try to hurt him when he cleans their tank, at least.

I find it really hilarious when Sims talk to themselves in mirrors. They make the most amazing expressions.

Speaking of amazing expressions...

That lady didn't want to go on a date with Red, but at least he has a good friend now. Unfortunately I don't remember his name... Jonas, maybe? Edit: I was actually right. Jonas Shields, Red's best friend.

Red reeeaaally likes talking about flowers to people. At least Jonas seems to appreciate this topic of conversation.

As a final note for this update, I tried to have Red talk up this lady on his way home from work. Sadly, as soon as I started to flirt with her I discovered she had a partner and kids. Oops.
But! I'm sure Red will find someone, he's got plenty of time to find a lady. I think I'll have fun with this one, or at least I hope so! Haha.
Next update I'll remember to check what his simology is (because I'm terrible and already forgot what I made him), and also his friend's names, lol. Edit: Red is a Workaholic, Athletic, Charismatic, Virtuoso with a Photographer's Eye. His favorite food is Fried Peanut Butter and Banana sandwiches, his favorite color is red (shocking I know), and his favorite music is Dark Wave, because I think it sounds cool. His lifetime goal is to become a Hit Movie Composer.
