Ok, so now we've got our happy family of five... onward with the shenanigans.

I noticed that Red and Som were barely acquaintances, so I tried to get them to be better friends.

On the other hand, Alani seems to delight in faerie pranking his mother.

Som grew up at this point.

Into a rather handsome young man, really. He is now a Great Kisser, which I figure will come in useful for later.

I decided to give him some cool hair. Honestly I wish I was brave enough to do this to my hair.

Cameron also grew up!

I decided to keep his hair like that. It looks cute and it suits him, especially with his lovely red eyes... funny how the Sims tends to give you mother's hair with father's eyes, or vice versa.

Som is getting rather good at the painting thing, or at least I like his latest effort.

Helen hates thunderstorms. She'll be happy when winter gets here and they stop.

Oh also this lady's ghost showed up again.

And like everyone else, she likes those damn chairs. I eventually got rid of them since no one would go to bed, they just stayed up all night in those chairs.

She was also very rude and destroyed some of the sand castles.

As well as terrifying poor Som. I have no idea what they were talking about. Though he did learn that she was an Insane, Ambitious Workaholic during this conversation.

Meanwhile Cameron is having fun chewing wooden blocks, as you do.

And Alani dances. I do enjoy watching Sims dance, they're so amusing.

Cameron also plays with Patrick quite a lot.

Then he grew up. He likes Geek Rock, Vegetarian Fish and Chips, and the color Purple. He is also a Technophobe now.

I actually managed to catch the horrifying grow-up limb warping, yay!

It was about this point that I realized that I'd accidentally send Red along the Rock'n'Roll path while Helen went on the Symphonic track, which I thought was good for both of them but then I realized I'd screwed Red over for his LTW. So I changed it. Now he wants to be the CEO of a Mega-Corporation. I immediately had him quit his job on the music track--he'd already hit the 10th level anyway--and join a business career.

Just another example of how much Alani looks like his mother. I kind of adore how Helen and most of her kids all seem to have 'angry' as their default expression much of the time.

In other news, Som spontaneously developed a romantic interest in this lady at the prom. Her name is Fawn Goodfellow, and she's Over Emotional, Grumpy, and Insane. I kind of love her. I will have to work on snaring her into the family, though it may take some time since they're both still teens and she's not even his girlfriend yet.

They had a nice sleepover, however. Or at least she didn't seem to hate it.

...and then he apparently asked her if she wanted to build a snowman. Oh, also it's wintertime now.

Meanwhile, Cameron gets in on the 'faerie pranking mom' action.

Before asking an alien for a bedtime story. I don't know why the alien was there, but apparently Cameron thinks it's perfectly normal and okay and not weird at all. The alien did seem to think that, however, since it immediately ran away.

I believe I got rid of the rockers just after this one, but I wanted a better picture of Cameron.

Why does everyone paint houses when they're first learning how to paint...?

Helen's work outfit is very pretty.

I am entirely baffled as to why Red decided to sleep on the floor. He's got plenty of beds to choose from, but nope... oh well.

The alien came back again, this time to scan all my shit.

Some snow shenanigans. I really do love winter, though I can't stand the cold very well. But there's something really wonderful about people playing in the snow.

Speaking of, Red and Helen wanted to go to the Winter Festival. Helen went skating...

...while Red cheated shamelessly. Though at least he wasn't bounding around the ring on all fours like the werewolf was doing.

Helen also showed off a few of her skateboarding moves.

I was also highly amused by this screencap of Cameron glitching through the snow.

Another masterpiece, no doubt inspired by all the damn aliens that keep coming 'round.

I'll be quite happy once Alani and Cameron both grow up and I no longer have to read them bedtime stories... but I suppose it is rather cute. It's just annoying when they ask people for a story at 2 am when everyone else is trying to get to bed.

As a final note, Helen aged up to Adult (I told you I had the lifetimes set to Long) and immediately developed a Mid-Life Crisis. Here she's checking her wrinkles out in the mirror. She also wanted to Plan her Outfit, Change Careers--she's now in the military--and go on vacation as part of her crisis. I've allowed those so far, anyway.

I also sent them on their first vacation ever, to China, mostly because I wanted them to buy some martial arts stuff and learn how to do kung fu and all that.

That's all for this time, thanks for reading.
