In this update, the kids grow up.

Starting off immediately with Teak growing up into a child. I like his hair being yellow, it makes him look like a dandelion.
He is now Grumpy.

I really like how he leaves flowers behind him wherever he walks.

Yet another glitch; this one is both amazing and ridiculous. Poor Alani, but I fixed him eventually. I had to evict them and put them back again, but it worked thankfully.

Apparently this is what happens when your Bonehilda has nothing to clean.
I also found out that Cameron has a boyfriend! It's so nice to see my Sims getting partnered off without my interference. His boyfriend is a werewolf, which is kind of hilarious to me... and Som has a new wife. Who is also the faerie that his father kissed when his mom was pregnant with him, so that's... kind of hilarious, actually. Oh, Sims and your crazy relationship developments.

Karri had her birthday, so she is now a full Adult. She also developed a Midlife Crisis, but nothing really exciting happened so that's that I guess.

Honestly as annoying as it is to have the kids always ask for bedtime stories, it is pretty cute. Helen is a great grandma, as always.

This is also pretty hilarious and cute.

And then Helen died.

Everyone was naturally pretty upset... but Helen herself was actually pretty ok with it. She even shook Death's hand, though I sadly missed grabbing that screen cap.

She got a nice urn, too. I eventually made a nice room for the family urns, though I don't think I have any pictures of that.

Red continues to be kind of a jerk, though. He didn't even mourn for a single day, while the rest of his family mourned for two days; instead, he immediately went on a few dates. On the bright side, he was able to comfort the rest of his family.
So... at this point I ran into an interesting glitch. I don't remember if I saved before or after the date up there, but I was at least saved to when Helen died. Anyway, I aged both Teak and Topaz up, and attempted to kick Topaz out as she was an adult and it got infinitely stuck on the processing screen. I had to force the game to close, which of course lost a lot of progress. I didn't understand what had caused the glitch for a long time, so I kept redoing the game (while saving a lot). Eventually I figured out it was because I had Pangu's Axe hanging in my house, and I was finally able to move forward with my gameplay while kicking all the people I wanted out of my house. Hurrah!

To start with, I aged Teak up. I think this is from his first birthday, and maybe not the one I have saved, but how can I say 'no' to that grin?

I made him look more like his dad. Very nice! He is Family Oriented along with the other things now, and I sent him off to Boarding School for a bit.

This is Chanel Fraser. This particular picture is from one of the failed game plays, but I managed to get her in my household in the end anyway so this counts. I have some interesting plans for her, since her LTW is to be a Master Romancer. She's also Flirty, Charismatic, Clumsy, a Party Animal, and she has a Green Thumb.

Topaz finally had her birthday for real, and I made her a Genius because her LTW is to be a Criminal mastermind or something like that, so I figured she would benefit from that. I don't think this is from the official birthday either, but it's the only pictures I have of that so that will have to do. I got her a job in the Criminal career track and kicked her out, as I tend to do.
As soon as I did that, I decided that perhaps I had too many Sims in my house. It's just not fun when you have too many people running around, or at least I find it to be less fun. Maybe because that's just too many people to control... I don't know. Anyway. I decided to move Alani, Karri, and Teak out as well, but I was nice to them and bought them a house when I moved them instead of just kicking them out. I wonder if they'll have any more kids; Karri is still an adult, so it could happen!

Then I called Marigold and Goldenrod home, and aged them both up immediately because I didn't want Chanel to be too much older than Goldenrod. I want to have them form a relationship, very badly.

Not too bad! She looks so much like her mother. And her father, with the colors of her hair and eyes.

...but I still decided to change her hair. It looks quite nice now. She ended up becoming a Perfectionist, and I decided to make her a Gold Digger for her LTW.

I'm sure she'll have fun with that. Or something. Anyway, I must have gotten her a job but I have no idea what it was, and I kicked her out.

Of course Goldenrod also needed to be aged up, her final trait lineup is Neurotic, Easily Impressed, Artistic, she has Star Quality, and she's a Genius. Her LTW is to be a Chess Legend.

I guess she's prettier than when she was a teen, but she's not exactly a knockout like her mom was.

She looks pretty good like that! I think that hairstyle suits her best.

I think this is a picture of Red talking Chanel into moving in. Goodness knows what he's saying there that persuaded her to move in, but it worked, whatever it was. Chanel also hit it off right away with Goldenrod, though in an earlier game she seduced Red (or the other way around, I suppose). I'm not sure what I'm going to do with her yet, really... I might just make her Red's new wife, and get Goldie a hubby of her own. We'll see what happens.

As a final note on today's update, Helen loves this thing. Whenever she manifests she always goes over and slides down it a bunch of times. So amusing.
