Rainbow Family - Update 3.0, Life is Complicated

And so is family. Anyway, before we start this off, a moment to complain... I somehow lost the notebook where I was recording a lot of this update's happenings, so I may be a little shaky on some details. It's also been... a while since I updated, l-lol. A lot of things happened in my own life, and I stopped playing for a while, too. Anyway...

I found my notebook, but I'll leave this intro as-is. Also it's a little sketchy on details, so the lack of them will mostly remain.





I did in fact get Chanel in a relationship with Goldie... which of course leaves the prickly issue of where the heir is going to come from. I figured that out in the end, don't. Worry...

Anyway, they're pretty cute together.



See? Adorable.



I'm including this one because it's cute, gdi, I don't care if I'm not exactly the best Sims photographer ever.



Anyway, Chanel was down with a quickie...



...and then Goldie quickly proposed.



Chanel was overjoyed (of course),



said 'yes' (of course),



and then they went in for a hug (so shinyyyy).



Apparently bragging to your father about your love life is the done thing, especially after you just got engaged.



Red went on another date with this fairy lady, her name is Donella Cuffs. This one is much more creepy than the last time...



Another Sim came to my property to die. Why do they keep doing this...

I don't remember this one's name. I actually don't think he wanders around at night very much, or at least I haven't caught him at it yet.



I decided to throw Chanel a bachelorette party because why not. Cameron gave a nice toast, I'm sure.



Unfortunately Chanel was feeling a bit under the weather, so I'm not sure she enjoyed it. But she's feeling that way because I had an idea to get around the fact that they're both girls... she's carrying Red's kids. I managed to get them to do it enough to get her preggers then I broke it off. It seems to be going well... also, I eventually got all the adults the No Jealousy reward, so that's a thing.



Aaaanywho, I got Chanel and Goldie married pretty quick after the party, just in a private ceremony since the public ones are kind of annoying to organize.



They seem happy.



Chanel soon realized she had a bun (or two...) in the oven. Woo!

And of course Red had to know as well. Honestly I'm so happy I did this, haha.



...also he had to listen to it, I guess. He looks pretty creepy there. Which is also appropriate, really.



I'm pretty sure I took this shot just because Goldie is super ripped. Dang, girl, you could bounce a quarter off them things.

...also I'm jealous. I want her abs. :(



I think Donella is just visiting here, I was getting her to know/be interested in Red, and vice versa. I have no idea what Chanel is telling her, but it probably involves aliens.



Sims need to stop having midlife crises, it's just not healthy to worry about your appearance so much.



It always amazes me how quick Sim pregnancies are.



And then Chanel was a BAMF and drove herself to the hospital. I love Red, but he can be so useless sometimes, I swear...



Not a great photo again, but here Chanel is with one of her babies. She did indeed have twins! And you can see the one she's holding is a fairy with a very familiar color of sparkles drifting around her... it's pretty clear who her dad is. The other baby is human, of course.

The fairy girl I named Beryl, and the non-fairy is Emerald. I kind of wish the reverse was true, since Beryl is so pretty... oh well. I want to try and stick to my 'rule' about only humans being the family heirs. Also Beryl is Insane, and also a Genius. Em, on the other hand, is a Genius and a Virtuoso, so I guess she's the best choice after all.

Oh yes and it should be noted that somewhere in all this drama Red confessed to cheating on Donella. She was very upset and I was very confused--between the No Jealousy and my being very careful to break Chanel and Red up quickly, I had no idea why he did that. Turns out that since Donella didn't have No Jealousy she could still be affected by Red cheating on her... and he was still in love with his wife. Who died ages ago. Sigh.

Still, I couldn't fault him for being in love with her... but I really wanted him to hit it off with Donella. After she left, I tried a few times to get Red to break up with... the ghost of his dead wife. Sims is very weird sometimes, I swear... it worked eventually (after Red freaked out about ghosts a couple times, of course) and I was able to get him back with Donella in the end.



I decided Goldie needed a break from that drama, so I sent her to France. Of course, a vacation doesn't mean she can let her skills get rusty.



But it does mean fun scooter rides! Whee!



When she was done with France, I aged up Em and B.



I have noticed a worrying trend with Chanel, by which I mean she drinks a lot of Sim 'booze'. Which doesn't actually do anything of course, but it's still kind of weird when she rolls out of bed and instantly runs to make herself a drink.



I also put a washer and dryer in just for a lark but they're really more annoying than anything else, since now there's clothes all over my house. And every time I call on Bonehilda, she just plays hopscotch, so she's kind of annoying, too.



Aaaand time to teach the kiddos how to chatter.



...yeah, see what I mean about this whole drinking thing? She looks just a little bit too happy here, making this drink.



As usual, I keep aging the kids up early. Or that's what I assume I did.



Her wings look blue here, but they're not I promise XD Her eyes are blue, though. I love it. She Hates the Outdoors now. Weird trait for a fairy to have, but what can you do...



Her sister was also aged up, of course, and she also has stunning blue eyes. I'm so pleased she will be my heir, even if she is a Slob now. A lot of Geniuses were pretty messy people, I guess.



I am so amused that high-level meditation results in floating.



Here I am, trying to get Donella back together with Red. It went pretty well.



In fact, it went incredibly well.



But while that was happening, Goldie tried to fix the speaker system. It... went considerably less well. As you can see here.



Everyone came in to freak out... and Chanel was attracted to the firefighter. Figures.



I think I convinced Donella to move in by this point. I guess she doesn't like graveyards?



These guys continue to be adorable.



Speaking of adorable, so are they.



Ah yes, this is going very well.



...so this is a thing. A thing I will explain. Chanel, you may remember, has Master Romancer as her LTW. Which means she needs to have woo-hoo with five different Sims in five different places. So I figured... why not get her to do it with Donella? And surely there can be nothing more romantic than a Gypsy caravan /cough. It worked like a charm, and I yet again broke them up directly after the woo-hooing happened. I had Donella break up with Chanel, and Chanel was not happy about it. I spent a while trying to console her, but I don't think it worked... I'm pretty sure I left my game with her still upset, so I guess stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion, as well as the woo-hooing escapades to come. Because I really want to accomplish her LTW.



This just amused me, her having a drink while thinking about drinking. And this was definitely when she was upset over the breakup with Donella.



I was trying to get her to rebound with her actual wife and therefore get over Donella, but it didn't work, really. I did get to have her do some cute flirting, but every time she went in for a kiss Goldie decided she was being weird, so I gave up in the end.



I finally got Red to propose to Donella. Yay!



And then they got married immediately because why not.

I should also mention that Donella is pregnant with Red's child, because I wanted them to start a family. I may eventually get them their own house, but I really like them to hang around... I don't know. But I think it will be complicated for at least a little while /laugh.
